Got my new Macbook pro 15" with SSD last week and have everything loaded.  It is an absolute blast of a machine.  Boot time is under 20 seconds.  Wake time is about 6 seconds.  Connections to my mini (and other computers) was painless.  My biggest learning curve has been using MS Excel for mac. 

I had used apple products back in the early 1980s, but moved to Windows for work.  I have owned a Mini since 2005 for my music and it has been great.  I bought an Ipad for the wife (who owns several Ipods).  I have the newer AppleTV.  So I was "mac ready".  I moved to the Macbook from a 4 year old HP 17" running Vista. 

The difference is amazing.  I will never buy another windows product.

Grats on your new MBP!    As much as I dislike MS Windows, I'm sure I will always be using one at work or for the causal game (bootcamp style).   But history has a tendency to repeat itself, there could be a day in ten years where one would say the complete opposite.

Windows machines are built for businesses, which tend to have a full IT staff to keep them up.  Mac's are built for consumers so they have much less "tech-geek" overhead.  My father (over 60) has and ancient Dell laptop right now, but when it dies I'm strongly advising him to get a Mac next.
