Hi folks. I have a Peachtress iDAC that I use with my 2nd gen iPod Touch. In general, I'm pretty happy with the sound and function, but I have a little trouble seeing and reading the iPod display when using the iDACs remote control from my listening position.

I thought maybe I could look around for a dock extension cable. I found a few on Amazon like this:

http://www.amazon.com/RadTech-ProCable-Extender-47-Inch-iPhones/dp/B002V100LU/ref=wl_mb_hu_m_4_dp

But this one is only 4 feet long. I was wondering if anyone is aware of any REALLY long dock extension cables (say 12 or 15 feet or so)? If anyone has a recommendation for me I'd greatly appreciate the info.

Also, has anyone used dock extension cabels like this with an iDAC or similar dock to know for sure that it will function properly?

Thanks a bunch.

I'd guess that the lack of longer dock cables is de to technical difficulties with the signal levels and frequencies more than anything, but as I don't have the specs, I can't say for sure.

I have an iStreamer but have not tried any longer cables so I don't know if they would work or not.  Sorry, that's about the best I can do.

What about running a longer cable from the iDAC to your HiFi?

Well, the iDAC is on my audio rack. And I'd prefer to leave it there, along with the other equipment. Otherwise this would have been a fine idea. The way I have everything in my audio rack, I dont think the screen magnifier would work for me either.

Maybe daisy-chaining a couple of those 6ft cables together would do the trick?
