I am the second owner of this unit.   There are no operational issues, and only minor cosmetic ones for age.   It has both balanced and unbalanced analog outputs, plus a coax digital output.   There is an analog domain volume control which can be operated by the included original remote control.   Asking $525.   From ZIP 18661.

these are REALLY nice for the $$$ ... the analog volume control works great driving amps without the need for a preamp or linestage

being that the player predates hdcd...what is your experience in playing those discs?

I have admittedly limited exposure to HDCD but have found that some HDCD discs sound superb and some not as good as the "standard" CD ... I think the mastering of the disc is much more important than the type of disc.
