How Far Can You Space Drivers Before Phase Cancellations?

Do you know of a chart, or guide, that shows frequency wavelengths and when phase cancellations will happen when two drivers put out that frequency?

For instance, in a MTM array, as you have the Mids go up higher in frequency the spacing of the drivers have to be closer or phase cancellations will happen. That's why you don't see any MMTMM arrays.

So there is a relationship to frequency wavelength and the distance of similar driver spacing.

Thanks for any help?

Ideally <1/2 wavelength.

I haven't tried it (although I should) but the Asymmetrical Response Pattern Estimator looks like just the ticket.

Thanks guys.

Is there a chart that states the wave length for any given frequency? Or is it a ratio?

Wavelength is the speed of sound divided by the frequency.

Hi

AVG won't let me install that prog due to a trojan threat found....

Hm. MSE said it's OK. Anyway, I can't run it, it's not working quite right on my very old version of Excel.

I would say you have a trojan on your comp right now.

I would say you have a trojan on your comp right now.

If so, it's quarantined in a VM that can easily be deleted. However, I checked both the self-extracting executable and the Excel file:

http://virusscan.jotti.org/ - no infection found (both .exe and .xls)
MSE - both clean
StopZilla - nothing found
AVG - both clean

I also re-downloaded both versions with AVG active and no warnings came up. So I don't know what you're seeing...
