All in all, I think that Black Swan was not a bad film...just not a great one. It was good to see Natalie P. again, having last seen her in The Professional. Accompanied by Mila Kunis, the duo do a pretty darn good job showing a behind-the-scenes peek into the world of ballet. Kunis was particularly satisfying, breaking through the "Jackie" mold of the 70's Show quite handily. Say what you will about it being over the top, weird, freaky or whatever: that is exactly what it was supposed to be. Still, you have to admit the cinematography was quite good; the choreography superb; and the acting nothing to sniff at.

I just wish David Cronenberg had handled this one. Now, that would be interesting.

I actually didn't find the film to be about ballet at all.

History Of Violence - era Cronenberg or Parasite - era Cronenberg? The latter would be way crazy-interesting !

Perhaps Aranofsky is becoming the next Cronenberg?
