U3s arrived this am.  Double biwired to my new Nuforce Reference 9 V3SEs monoblocks.  The U3s were demos with about 150 hours on them and the same for the amps.
I think I may stay up all night!

My wife's first comment was and I quote "they are really sharp looking"!  Her second was, "they sound great".

Boy am I lucky or what.

Didnt know if I should start a new topic, but I just picked up a JL Audio F112 sub and was wondering if this very fast, articulate sub mated with Unifield 3 would make up the difference between U3 and SR4mk3.  Seems like mostly bass extension is in SR4mk3's favor.  My room is a  15'x20/25' basement on slab with 7ft drop ceiling.  Thanks...

My bet is that it wouldn't pull even to the SR Mk3. In a room the size of yours, I estimate that it would surpass it.

Agreed!  The myth about all the pitfalls of trying to match subs with mains is way overstated.  My Velodynes and VR5 Anniversaries are as seamless as it gets
