My Acura TL is being made next month. The DVD-A/DTS surround system is SOTA. I got some DTS music DVDs like Eagles " Hell Freezes.." I'm lookin for rock/pop sonic hits. Any ideas?

I'd also recommend Steely Dan's "Everything Must Go," as well as Donald Fagen's "The Nightfly."  I'd rate the DVD-A of The Flaming Lips "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" as maybe the most amazing disc out there sonically, and great music, too.  Beck's "Sea Change" is also a topnotch demo quality DVD-A of fantastic music.

If you like jazzy, Steely Dan-ish big band arrangements, Big Phat Band - XXL is a knock-out!  DVD-As from Toy Matinee, Jane Monheit and Medeski, Martin & Wood also regular play in my system despite my preference for SACD.

I knew the Billy Joes ones were out on SACD, but I've never seen em on DVD-A.  Didn't know they were out.

WerTicus, I don't think his Acura system will play an SACD.  I'm presuming that's why he asked about DVD-A specifically...

So far I've bought:
Flaming Lips "Yoshimi battles..."
Eagles "Hotel CA"
Foreplay " Forplay"
Grover Washington Jr. "Winelight"
Donald Fagan " NightFly"
Pat Metheny Group " Imaginary Day"

Any more ideas guys, or is this a dying format?

I picked up the Greatful Dead "American Beauty" DVD-A and was surprised by how good and non-gimicky the mix was.

Okay, since it came up, jgubman, I gotta ditto you on American Beauty.
The Workingman's Dead DVD-A is its equal, as Mickey Hart remixed them at the same time, and I believe there are some alternate leads in there.  I heard about the remixes, bought a dvd Asus player for the peecee just for that.  ANd of course, the rest is history...heheh
American Beauty is my most bought piece of music from the first vinyl I had with wax on it from my girlfrien's candles, to MoFi and DVD-A.
Kinda fun when you've known an album for 30 years and all of a sudden Garcia decides to play some riffs different...

PS. yes 'Nightfly' comes out real nice on the format too.
