Thanks all who responded.  I used a table saw, it was set up and ready to go.  no tearing, looked like a factory edge and no residue on the blade.

Thanks again.  JP :thumb:

I am not sure what the composition of No Rez is or how hard it is to cut. I do know this from cutting wood (especially hard wood):  A sharp blade will cut quickly and cleanly.  A dull blade will slowly "burn" its way through the wood and end up dark and covered with residue. Using the proper blade (number of teeth and pitch) is also important.  Using a finishing blade for rough cutting is also an invitation to ruining a blade.

Lesson here is that No Rez can be cut with a table saw with no residue left on the blade if it is the proper blade and it is sharp enough. Perhaps someone could post more details on what blade they used for cutting.

When I built my OB7's last year I sliced up 2 sheets of norez in about 15 minutes using a 60tooth combination blade on my table saw. Pretty much effortless. If you have seen the inside of an OB7 you know that there were a lot of small pieces about 2" or so wide. It is not easy to cut with a utility knife- I tried that first.

I used vinyl siding cutters from the box store, you'll have rough edges on the foam.

Glad you had better luck than I did.  It made a mess of a sharp Diablo blade for me- to the point that I cut out most of the No Rez for my LS9s with kitchen shears.

The Piranha blade on my table saw cuts it like butter and leaves no residue on it at all.

I cut 9 sheets for my LS9's, all with a 45 deg edge.  Cut it with the backing side up.  It is messy (no rez bugger dust) but the finish is perfect.

Many years ago I bought a stack of them. Then when they dulled down I sent them all off to be sharpened. And then they cut like new again. Great blades... Sounds like they might be a bit dated now?
