N3 Pictures Thread
« on: 8 Mar 2011, 05:24 am »
I thought it would be fun to start a thread (I searched and didn't find one so if it already exists, oops  :green: ) to have a place to show off all the different builds of N3's and N3S'. I'm linking some from other people's builds so I hope that's ok. Please let me know if you'd rather I take them down.

Here's a couple (most of which are RON's and some are django's):

I figured I would let Ruben post pics of his own builds as there are so many.

Thanks for sharing!

Scott

Thanks Scott!

I've come up with a brand new finish that I plan to build the next pair of N3's in. I'll wait until they're done and then post pictures of them along with all of the N3 and N3S's that I've built.

Thanks Scott for posting some pictures of my most recent builds. They were all enjoyable projects to build and sound great too. Also, they had all the performance upgrade options including Platinum bypass caps. Danny's designs are the best in my opinion and provide the best bang for the buck.

This is a pair I built for my sister the Christmas before last.  She still loves them and uses them daily.  Great design!

Here's a picture of my N3S build I finished about a year ago, and a link to my build thread. http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=79769.0

They are great sounding speakers. I use them as side surrounds and as planned they match my LS-6's mains and X-Voce center very well.

Another set, raised the tweeter a hair due to my seating position. Used a CNC to do the baffles and pre drilled holes.  I post new finished images this week.

Looks like you still need to radius the back side of the woofer holes.

They make some router bits that do the radius cut in reverse (radius the back side from the front side). I ordered one myself several months ago. It works great.

I'll figure it out, the back can come off as i have made this set with screws and 45's on the back..  No biggie.  Got to be done though to do it right.

Your N3S cabinets look great. Nice job! :thumb: I too have forgotten to radius the inside of the woofer hole a couple of times, so your not the only one.
