looking at a jolida cd player

I'm currently using some Holophonic IC's which lend sparkle and clarity and some RCA 12ax7a tubes. The RCA's like most 12ax7s are a bit fuzzy but still image really nice. They also sweeten the sound to my liking much better than the dry and edgyness of the stock ones. I'm looking for some NOS 5751 tubes that are supposedly the best for this player. Unfortunately the word is out on these tubes and the good ones are going for Telefunken prices.

I actually just purchased another JD-100 dealer demo off Audiogon for 605.00 shipped.

I want to see how it compares in my rig now with the SACD 1000 if Philips is able to fix my unit.

i gotta say,
everytime I throw a cd in that I have not heard through the jolida..I'm amazed at how much I was missing before! Right now is happy hour for me. It is my friday, I got a couple beers in me, I just recieved my NOS phono pre amps (we'll see) and listening to radiohead's kid A. dang! the jolida runs nice through the ac conditioner. It makes a difference. The power amp hated the conditioner - I found out just now by doing some A B switching.. I"m stoked! who wants to come over for a beer and crank some tunes and watch the NM sunset?
