This is a great preamp, stock, right out of the box, and it performs way beyond its price point. Extremely sensitive to tube rolling. So many sounds and textures can be had by this little point-to-point wired, phono stage. IMHO, this is a great price. BTW, if one should go another step further by sending this preamp off to Tube Guru, Tom Tutay in Florida for upgrade modifications, this becomes a killer preamp, again IMHO.
