Hello everybody, I have been follow this thread with great interest... some awesome collection of tubes!
First my rarest piece.... Valvo Hamburg 6067/ecc82, never seen before a picture of it, I cannot figure how many of these were made...

I think this is the only tube in the ecc82/12au7 family with the typical construction of e88cc or telefunken ecc803s
kind regards

Different versions of Hamburg made Valvo ecc83 through years:

From left to right: november 1954,  D getter with foil strip, copper rods, small hole on side--- july 1955, D getter with bigger foil strip one point welded, nickel rods, bigger hole on plate sides--- march 1956, same as 1955 but large rectangular folded getter and larger bottle--- june 1957, same features but  45º big O getter.

I know there is also a first version made in late 1953 early 1954 with no foil on D getter and also a last made 1958-59 with smaller o getter.

greetings

third version Four edges on top mica, plate had one hole and one middle bar, straight D getter.

Hello Shoot, at first sight seems defective tube due to air inside causing mercury diluted, but it is working with strong emission and no gas, I think the coloration at top is due to hot getter .
I wonder if there is an even earlier  YKA version made in 1950-51... :)
Can I know the code of your darker mercury one?

These sound freaking sweet. Very lush. But, not too smooth.
Very simple design.

Hi all Audio Circle members.
Those are the tubes that my wife’s nephew purchased for my birthday from TC Tubes USA according to my list and according to the recommendation from Ericus Rex.
Thanks Ericus Rex. :thumb:
Here they are from top to bottom.

Sovtek 5AR4 (NEW)
Raytheon 6080
Sylvania 12AX7
Raytheon 12AU7
Sylvania JAN 6922
Toshiba 6BQ5 (Pair)
8570

This one is for my soon to arrive Bottlehead Crack headphone amplifier.
This one is unbelievably inexpensive at 15 USD for such a BIG tube.
Made in USA.
8573

Of course it’s does not look new, even if it is,
as you can see from the bottom.
8576

Toshiba 6BQ5 to replace a pair of EL84 EH
for my Decware SE84C+
Each box had a little piece of Styrofoam to secure the tube.
Detail that I have not seen from Tube Depot, not to name it.
8578

Made un Japan.
8580

I was surprised to see that some of the pins were crocked.
At 24 USD each, I was expecting a little better.
I hope they will sound better than the EH they will replace.
8583

Sylvania JAN 6922 Made in USA for my Decware SE84C+
replacing a EH 6922.
8585

Raytheon 12AU7 Made in USA (Thomas organ) for my Bottlehead Crack.
8586

Sylvania 12AX7 (Long plates) Made in USA.
To replace my 12AX7 Ruby on my Bellari VP-129.
8587

All the pins on all the tubes did not look clean, therefore I tried to clean them with a tooth brush and some tooth paste, and I’ve been told that tooth paste is a little abrasive.
The results were far from being good.
Before
8589

After
8591

I don’t want to be pessimistic, but I hope that after replacing the stock tubes with the NOS tubes, I will hear a difference.
I will share with you my findings as soon as I have a minute to make the swap and sit down to do serious listening.
