What Paul, no scorpion on it ? I'd think an old racer like yourself would have gone for the Abarth version, just for fun. Sweet looking ride there George.
1991 318i The winter here was pretty tough on it.After it warms up a bit I'll get underneath and see what's left.
2013 500E Electric yo!
Nice! Go EV! here is my Leaf. I am super pumped. Having my Type 2 AC charging station installed today.
Hey Guy,An Elio will have a range of around 650 miles with an 8 gallon tank. 84mpg isn't bad. Okay, it's not electric. I, for one, think that's a good thing. If the point is reducing one's ecological impact, batteries aren't the best answer. I know that petrol powered vehicles aren't the answer either, but simple efficiency is critical and this vehicle is simple and efficient. One of Paul's mantras is 'no new technologies' - just applied physics. I don't know if/when these will ever be exported to your corner of the world - not even available here yet, but things are progressing. Here, in the US, the Elio will insure as a motorcycle - even more savings!
Hi.What's the driving range of the Fiat 500E with a fully charged battery? Is it charged on 120V. ? And how long does it take to fully charge it?I am just curious to know.Thanks.Guy 13
86 miles on a full charge. 17 hours to charge on 110 from empty to full. i have a 20 amp 220 charger that i plug into my dryer outlet and it charges in about 5 hours for a full charge
Hey Guy,I should 'fess up - 84mpg is the highway (where it'll do 100mph (but it won't get 84mpg at that speed)) rating. Realistically, the city mileage is 49/gal. Still, that isn't bad for a vehicle that'll keep you dry when it rains (and that stays upright when it isn't moving). It will be manufactured in a former Hummer factory in Louisiana - anticipated roll-out is this summer. The manufacturer is Elio (Paul's - engineer/founder) last name. It will be $6,800 with a radio and air conditioning. In case it wasn't apparent, it's a two seater (front/back). It's not fancy, but it ought to be fun to drive.
