Levi,

How secure is the stand?  Can you comfortably use the touch screen while the iPad 2 is in the Logitech/Zaggmate 2 stand?  Where did you get your stand?  They are not currently available in the Logitech webstore. I put myself on the list to be notified when they become available but I would really rather get one locally and have a hands-on experience before purchasing.

The zaggmate2 is nice. The keyboard is small and maybe a problem with bigger fingers. Over all, the Zaggmate2 is a keeper because it doubles as a protective case and stand.

The Zaggmate2 has a lip that your iPad2 latches into (see Blue arrows).  It is supported in the back with an adjustable support latch(red arrow).  It is secure.  You probably don't want to move the thing around with the iPad on it.  Secure enough to touch the screen and navigate the screen.

As you can also see that the keyboard keys are so close together that you may have problems if you have big fingers.

Nice, thanks for the excellent photo! How's the connectivity? Does it ever have Bluetooth issues? Also when the iPad is closed in the case how hard is it to remove? Does it seem like it's pretty stable in the closed position?

Thanks!

Blue tooth connectivity is very good.  It just works when you need to type.  I leave the keyboard on all the time.

When the iPad2 is in the Zaggmate2, it is stable and very secure.  It truly protects the iPad2.  You literally had to pry it open to separate the iPad2 and zaggmate2 apart.  It is has rubber holding the iPad2 around the edge of the Zaggmate2.

it's hhheeerrreee!  Checked the tracking this morning and it said that it got to Boulder too late to get out on today's truck, so to expect it tomorrow.  Not sure what happened, but it just arrived, and man is it slick... and I haven't even activated it or setup VoiceOver on it yet.

Got a couple hours more work before I can really give it my attention, but then will dive in.

The leather cover is very nice, and totally cool how it works.

May have to get one of those ristretto bags now, or possibly a wood case for it.

More when I get some hands-on time with it.

New iPad2 / 16gb wifi in white here today - yippee!

The sucker feels like a jewel in hand to me.

Just what I'm looking for - the iPhone experience on a bigger screen (no phone needed, but SKYPE and Facetime capability is nice)  :thumb:

Congrats guys! Jim can I make a suggestion? If you buy a ristretto don't buy the iPad one. Instead buy the 11" MacBook air one. That way if you ever decide to get a MBA you can and you'll still have space for your iPad. The sizing is almost identical, but if you buy the iPad ristretto you are more limited. Just an FYI.

Jason,

Just took a look at the Breve -- that's exactly what I need as I don't travel much, and when I do I still have my brain bag and this can easily slip inside.

Just got 'er all setup and configured and I have to say it's very slick.  A little different in some ways from the Touch 4g in how it works with speech, but no big deal.  Also gotta love the cover lock/unlock feature.  It's not something I thought would be all that useful to me, but using it, I can now program the top button to be an orientation lock, which is great.

John, also got mine in white and my wife says that the white with the red leather cover looks great.

This is already fun! :D

iPad 3 rumored for release as early as September. Rumors include 3D capability and much better screen resolution (2560x1920).  Guess I am glad I have not been able to find an iPad 2 locally.

If you can't find one locally. What are your chances of getting an ipad3?

Levi,

Thanks for being so positive.  :thumb:

I am not in any rush.  When I could not get an iPad 2 to take on vacation my time frame stretched waaaaaaay out. I want to use up two Best Buy gift cards and earn more Best Buy Rewards points but if I get desparate (I won't) there is an Apple store a 5 minute walk from Best Buy and one even closer on my computer. Well heck, maybe I will wait for the iPad 4--January?

You can also get the iPad2 when iPad 3, 4, 5 comes out.

Definitely, it will be cheaper then.

iPad 3 rumors are utter BS. These are the type of rumors that baffle me. They cant keep up with demand for the iPad 2, why would they undercut their own success by releasing another iPad before next year? Also there isnt a 3D device on the market that holds up to it's promise. They all suck ass big time. No way Apple magically cured this in a few months. Sorry don't believe everything that you read.

I agree about the 3D and other BS that goes with it.  LOL!

Guess we just have to see when a new one comes out.  Certainly, I am truly happy with my iPad2.

Hey!

iPad3 soon? Hmmm... you might want to wait 'til next year for something even better....

 Seriously I don't know what is the big deal is all about. Or maybe is just chic to carry around the best new thing for some people I guess.

Well, to be honest I do have an iPad1 of which I got it as a present for Xmas last year 2010. Yup, 3 months before the iPad2 release  :duh:

If it wasn't the fact that I got it as a gift I wouldn't have got one myself. Now I have one I still haven't use it that much, I just don't find much use for it. I don't know maybe not yet. :dunno: Hey! I don't even have or ever own an iPod!

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

I'm first in line for the 2020 iCeeLoGreenRocksAvatar14FootballField.

Till then, I'll bide my time with my trusty Sinclair ZX Spectrum (yes, in color).
