yes, but if it's like the iPhone 4 you cannot use video very effectively on 3G, but wifi is free game.
skunark,Thank you for the explanation of the the Dock Connector to USB Port (dongle) and the Dock connector To USB Cable. I was not aware of the dongle option. It may (or may not) work for me. I hate when that happens.
Glad I was forced to wait, I'll be using my rent rebate check and getting the cheapest one I can get...camera to chat with my kids, wifi for when I'm in bed for my 3 hours a day with feet up to keep ankle swelling down and surf AC or control my Squeezebox with ipeng, Moss Rehab will soon have wifi for patients as I may be spending a few weeks every few years getting my balls busted doing physical therapy if I am lucky enough to fight off the dreaded wheelchair. I waited because I had too but it was a good thing because for my first one I'll get a bunch more convenience for the same price. I might spring for the Verizon version as I'm already a Verizon customer and sometimes wifi isn't easy to find in some of these places I keep finding my skinny ass in...ipads don't do Flac yet do they??
No FLAC compatibility is one of the reasons why I have a love/hate relationship w/Apple. But I found out today for $9.99 they sell an app called FLACPLAYER. I have not bought it yet for my itouch but looked into this today and the reviews are good.
Ideally i would prefer iTunes to convert FLAC to either a lower bit-rate ACC or to a ALAC on the fly, such that the actual iPad hardware can do the decode for longer batter life. When i use a mobile device I'm almost always in a noisy environment so I not asking for audiophile quality playback. I will just convert FLAC to ALAC for my iPhone, iPad just gets pre-loaded with Top Gear.
You say "Ideally" I assume meaning, Itunes can't do this yet?. I have a conversion program but it's a ROYAL PITA to have to do all that work to entertain myself. I love everything bout the apple touch/ipad cept Itunes of course!
I love that they have the audacity to release a white one. WTH happened with the white iPhone. It never really materialized.
Rumour has it the iPhone 5 will be available only in white. So, the newest, best phone they make will share the same cosmetics as their entry level MacBook?
"4.3 will add personal hotspot for iPhone 4."Will there be a monthly charge for this, or included in the data plan for the phone?
