New Old Stock.
Model B28G300.  3 Amps.  These currently list for $240.
I bought it to power my Tripath amp, but went the battery route instead.

What exactly does this unit do? Is it like a power conditioner to clean up one's household current?

Its a linear power supply.  AC in, 28v DC out...up to 3amps worth.

You could use it to power a Virtue amp (ONE/TWO/Sensation)
