I'm following your thread because I'm thinking of taking the plunge to disc-less myself; only I don't know squat about how to do it (old vintage Carver guy here). I might get me one of those Squeezeboxes, since everyone seems to like them. Anyway, just jumping in here with some immoral support and waiting to see which way you go with the digital thing

I'm right with you on that. Though I have been studying. The Discless Circle is all about it.
My Vision DAC will be here tomorrow and I will probably be picking up a squeezebox soon.
I will need it as my computer is not near my 2 channel system and this seems like the easiest
and sanest way to control my digital music.
There are lots of modifications to improve the functions and sound of the squeezebox. Only the digital and remote control mods are what interest me personally. And that will take some time.
