Bourn Cermet Pot

Hi Hugh,

I read your FAQs about the cerment pots from Bourn.  The dual gang 100Kohm linear cermet pot (81 series).  However, I was searching around on digikey and they have very little description for their pots so it is hard to tell if I am picking out the right one to try out.  Do you have any more description on these pots that would help me find one?  Or any other users out there know where to get them online or possibly the digikey #?

TIA,
Josh

I haven't been able to find one either...

Hi Josh,
Excellent question, I haven't managed to find these either.  Any leads, anyone?

Thanks,
Peter

Well after mucking around I found the following useful info on Bourn's website.  It is helpful in distinguishing which is which. Unfortunately it doesn't look like digikey stocks these dual gang versions, only a single gang.  Anyone know where you might get the dual version?

Josh,

Never could find these pots.  I suspect they are made only for OEMs.

I do now have cermet dual gang pots, made in France by Sfernice (now owned by Vishay like most component factories..... ).

These are used in the GK-1 Stage 1 and 2.  The Stage 3 uses the Panasonic motorized.

These cermets are good, really good.  But they are unobtainium;  special order is necessary.  I will NOT be selling them separately, however.  Just too hard to source.

Cheers,

Hugh
