Just wondering what happens to the sound if you are using say GIK 242's behind your main speakers
and you install, say 3 door stops(for each 242) to keep the panels off the wall .
what is that suppose to do to the sound.
Has anyone done this,thanks.

My guess is that it would make them less effective, as the GIK's have an air gap built in. It would probably work well for panels with no gap.
I guess the best way to find out is try it. Let us know the results if you do give it a try.

Hard to say, but it would absorb more low end. As said before we do build the gap in them so I would recommend sticking with that.
