Thanks for the links.  I'll definitely be doing some research before I attempt anything (along with getting some measurements to see what I'm actually doing as I go along).

That is a kick-butt looking speaker!  It's massive!  The piano black should go great with the black on my TV.

I have added a couple of pictures of the back of the RM30M's per a request.  The backs of both the RM30M & C are the same, only the base is different.  Sorry the photos are great, but you should get the idea.  The back of the piano black RM30 is a semi-gloss black, not the shiny finish on the sides, front and top.  There are recessed rectangular openings for two sets of speaker terminals and the adjustment pots.  The speakers do come with basic wire jumpers if you are not going to bi-wire or bi-amp.  The usual instruction sticker is on the back of the speaker, although I guess you could ask that it not be applied if you are concerned about the appearence.
