              Special Christmas announcement

Most of you know that Dodd buffers are back in production.
I was also told that prices have changed a bit and that two buffer versions will be offered. Standard version - original buffer kit with all the trimings such as case, faceplate, knobs etc. (must be purchased together as a kit)
And economy version with somewhat simpler layout and fewer boutique parts.
This version will be sold for $350 + shipping.

Gary will offer this kit to first 10 members who show interest at discounted intro price of $300 + shipping.

If there is enough interest, I'll move it to dedicated thread.

Cheers

So is there any discount on the standard one if you buy the complete kit?

Hi everyone. I have been very busy  with some more monster amps and haven't been here much at all. I will answer a few of your questions about the buffers.
A heatsink of approximately 2"x4" with fins at least 1/2" tall will be plenty.
I will supply a heatsink drilled for the reg. and the switch with mounting hardware for $10 shipped. You will just have to move things around a bit to fit in in. Placement is not critical. The basic kit has everything you need to have a working buffer, except for the Cardas RCA's, those are now included on the complete chassis. It is $349, being offered for $300 for the first 10 as a Christmas special. If there is enough interest I may decide to extend this offer so everyone interested will have a chance to get a special.
If you want a complete kit which is a fully finished unit that you have to assemble those are now going for $1595 and for the Christmas special you can have one for $1295. All buffers from this point on will be configured to be able to use the 6H30 supertube! Guys this is a no brainer, there isn't anything in this price range that can come close! I have plenty of stock on the basic kits
Please note that the basic kits in this special will include the lower cost Cardas RCA's. :thumb:

Hey Gary,
I'll be in Dallas next Tues. If you are going to be around, I'll swing by to see about options for kit upgrades. Also, are those monster amps up and going? I'd love to hear what you've been up to.

That's for fully assembled unit right?
Not a complete DIY kit?

Could you list all prices for DIY kit and options?
Hopefully that will help avoid some confusion as far as pricing is concern.

Thanks for stopping by and your assistance.

So, basiclly you get what Trung showed in his newest build:

All you have to get to complete it is:
case, knobs, battery and charger. Total? Under $400
That's pretty awesome! :thumb:

Thanks, Gary.  That's very cool of you.  Could you set aside one of those heat sinks too.  I've been wanting to hear the 6H30 tube for ever.

That would be easy with the kit.  You could just wire a input resistor to ground instead of using the input volume control and convert it to a pure buffer.

Thanks Rich
You are correct except you wouldn't have to add the resistor to ground it's in the module so it cannot be left out! :icon_lol:
