Ok, so apparently the charmingly named "Genius 300" (the creator of these amps, a Chinese gentleman, answered my emails, very nice guy, posts on Diyaudio.) is "only" 150*2 at 4 ohms, or 300 * 1 mono.
However, he has another amp coming soon (the "Genius 500") which we can assume will produce much more power into 2 channels, and of course 500 watts into one.
Wushuliu, what is your opinion here (on the 300)? You've got a fully turnkey 150*2 with built in SMPS and chassis, all built, with all connectors, etc, for $242 shipped.
That's quite a deal, no? It probably comes under what I would spend for the HiFimeDiy monoblocks (although maybe not by much, it depends on how much I can get parmetal cases), and is certainly much less tha I would spend on the ClassD SD254 kit+case+ power supply.
I've been reading some on diyaudio.com and at least the TI chip that the "Genius 300" is well regarded. What would you do? hifidiy or this other option?
