Jazz at The Pawnshop (Proprius). Pretty conventional jazz. Tepid an avant-garde listener might say. Still, a classic demo album for live in-the-club realism. Piano, vibes, alto sax/clarinet, bass and drums. ALL the Scandanavian labels I own like BIS, this one, ODIN and what have you are cutting edge when it comes to realism. Must be those cold winters. Highly recommended and you won't fail to see- er, hear- what I'm talking about. Actually, "see" is a pretty good description. Plus, it's a double album. Played it last night for some guests.
