For some reason beyond my intelligence, most likely, I am unable to upload a photo. Oh well, this is a pretty esoteric release anyway but one that slays me:
Judgment! Andrew Hill (Blue Note, 1964) with Bobby Hutcherson (vibes), Richard Davis (bass), and Elvin Jones (drums). Some artists because their art is so profound are timeless. If you can get into this, you're ok I don't care what anybody says. Richard Davis explodes the common thinking about what a bassist is for. Check out "Alfred" and you'll see, hopefully. The 60's were a time wherein a musician like Andrew Hill could be more appreciated. Art was expanding. So, were minds.
