RMAF 2010
« on: 16 Oct 2010, 02:38 am »
Hi Folks,

Knee deep in the show.

Had this feedback today from Martin Logan forum.

Bryston and PMC

Bryston was similarly demonstrating their electronics via their USB equipped player. It has 2 USB connections on the front and another 2 on the back. The guy next to me was controlling the system via Bryston's own iPad app. The sound on an eclectic mix of music through the PMC monitors and the Bryston monoblocks was well controlled and very tuneful.

Pretty cool that you can control it with an IPad! I did not know Bryston had an app!!

And let me add that in a show full of overloaded, volume up'd, bass thumping rooms, the Bryston room made some sweet sounds when I stopped there on Saturday pm. It felt like a respite to step in and listen to music at sane levels. No need for a sales pitch when the music does the talking. The PMC speakers were pretty good too though I was assured the amps and front end were really the true source of this quality :)

The BDP-1 appears to have a blueish display and LED rather than green per the BCD-1 ...

Hi

I would say about 3-4 weeks from order.  The units are suppose to go to the photo lab this week or next.
