Magnestand MMG's in Sapele
Yes, Peter Gunn built these for the original owner, I bought them over two years ago. The best $ I've spent on audio.
Hmm.. a planar thread with no Acoustats?!? This will fix that.. http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?vbudg&1225736545The photo is somewhat dated with the amp and subs having changed, but all else remains pretty much the same.
Hey Jazzman, They are actually an Italian designed electrostat called " the Legato". I have had Soundlabs in the past and I like these a lot better. They are Koa wood with marble and I believe they are 1 of only 4 pair made. The builder had to quit for health reasons. I really enjoyed your article on how you built your speakers. Talk about pride of ownership! This Planer Circle is going to be fun. Regards, Frank
..do these count??...These DO have planar ribbons!!!
Magnestand MG-12s.
Guess this is the right place to update my present LR system. They may go into my bedroom after my Zu Super Flys arrive . In the BR I can place them closer to the side walls and, if lucky, interact better with the room than now in the LR - though I have NO qualms as to how they sound now... (meanwhile I've sorted out my installation, i.e., doesn't look so geeky oh, and cleaned my camera's lens too )
