LOL, yeah, precisely what's happening. Too many variables.

In line arrangement is just an experiment, it really isn't practical in this room but I wanted to see how it sounded compared to the split configuration.

I'm thinking of moving the radiator around to the front wall so I can put the LH woofer against the wall. Also, thinking of making a transparent diffuser to put over the window . . .

Did someone mention Mini Maggies?

You got that right! 350 lbs. each and awkward as hell getting down the steps into the cave, but worth it! In the sweet spot I am often transported, and isn't that what's it's all about?

I was helping a buddy move some speakers that weigh 320 pounds into and out of a truck and a trip up a staircase.
Can't say I enjoyed that part. But like you said, it's about the end result.

Anyone heard David JansZens speakers and can share how they sound?
I heard the infamous modules his dad made in 1978 and i still have the sound of those in my head. I recall them being so true to timbre!
How do they integrate with lower end drivers and sound in a box speaker?

I haven't heard the new JansZens. A friend has the old ones but I don't think I can extrapolate from those. However, I've heard nothing but good things about the new ones online.
