Has anyone tried these? The look like they can be powered by battery and maybe moddable.  They start at $14 for a 2w and im thinking of geting the 2x100w for $44.

You are better off getting the hifimediy equivalent on eBay for roughly the same money but far faaar superior performance. The sure you get what you pay for.
