I have rearranged my room to get the amps and OB5s closer together, so now I have a run of 6.5' of Kimber speaker cable. Unfortunately this has resulted in a nasty bass bloom/boom. I have researched bass/broadband traps to tame this and made temporary traps until I can make the finish trim models. The temporary results are not subtle, in fact they are quite extraordinary. I've had a lot of fun playing with their placement, so much so that I think I'm going to invest in some proper measuring equipment.

All the data I've read on room treatment deal with typical box speakers and not dipole/bipole speakers.
I am beginning to research using diffusers as well.

My question to the circle is; what have you done for your OB5s-OB7s and what has worked well?

 My room is much smaller and narrower than yours (13X20ft). I found that getting the ob7's at least 5 ft. out from the rear wall made a big difference and improved clarity and soundstage depth. There was a big difference in mine when going from 4.5ft to 5.5ft. Once you get behond 5ft you are delaying the reflections from behind the speaker by 10ms or more which makes the reflections contribute to better ambience while reflections less than 10ms can create more perceived interferance with the front output. This seems to be the case in my room. I have a Behringer DEQ2496 and a measurement mic that allows me to see bass modes on it's RTA. I highly reccomend this sort of gear for dealing with bass modes by changing speaker and listening position. Your speakers look fantastic and original.
