Heard that Bryston gear will again be used with the latest 3.7's in the CES.

Kindly let us know how differently the 3.7's sound as compare to the 1.7's in your room (and the 3.6's that were also in one of your rooms long before).

Has the CS 3.7 changed recently?

I believe this post is referring to the new Magnepan MG 3.7 which is to be introduced at CES, not Thiel CS 3.7.  Rumor has it that Magnepan will use Bryston electronics for their demo of the MG 3.7 and that Audio Research will use the MG 3.7 for their CES demo.  It will be very interesting to read the press on those two rooms if the rumors turn out to be correct.  :D

Congrats James.  Those plannar I can imagine sounds excellent in your room.  They have excellent coherence, imaging, 3 dimensionality and naturalness. I was thinking about the bass when you mentioned the Maggies 1.7.  Looking at your picture with a pair of stereo subwoofers that would be a nice synergy.  Those PMC TLE1 flat frequency response and very fast (no overhang).  The maggies or any speakers when driven with less powerful amps tends to shout and scream.  4B amps would be the minimum amplification I am sure you knew that already. :)
