I'm new to Audiocircle and wasn't sure where to post this exactly. This seemed like a logical place so here goes.
I'm interested in Salk speakers/Van Alstine amps. Since they are sold direct, I would have to go to a show to hear them. My only other option is to hear them in someone's system. So...........
This is a request to all Salk/Van Alstine owners in the New Jersey area: If you would be so gracious as to allow me to listen to the Salks/Van Alstines in your system, I would be most grateful.
I understand that this is kind of an odd request, and I don't blame anyone if they say no, but I don't know what else to do here. I once purchased a product without ever hearing it. It received GLOWING reviews in the audio press and very favorable comments amongst audiophiles. When I set it up in the system I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I don't want that to happen again.
