Can iPad or Touch do this with iTunes?

I have Macbook / iTunes. I want to purchase a Touch (or iPad if needed). Is there a way to use Touch or iPad to modify data fields in iTunes? I would like to do file maintenance on my iTunes library without using the Macbook keyboard.

At most all you can do is rate the songs that are synced to the device... If you have an airport express or the apple tv controlled by the ipod touch/iPad, you can't even do that.

Now what you try to do is run VNC on an ipad and connect to a computer running iTunes and edit the library that way.
