The commentators praised Cutler's athleticism but inferred he wasn't well liked by his teammates (unlike Aaron Rogers & Drew Brees) thus giving him poor grades for leadership.

Well said Ken. IMHO, I think what bothers the die hard Bears fan is Cutlers apperance of indifference or apathy on the field and in press conferences. Fans want to see their money guys passionate on the field and in press conferences. We didn't see a passionate attempt at testing his knee and it looked like a half hearted attempt when he was on the exercise bike. Right or wrong, this is the perception some felt. I genuinely believed during the game he had been hurt, just his usual lack of emotion on the sidelines. Me and the boys thought for sure Hanie would be coming in.....

The Chicago media and fan base can be brutal at times, that is life in the big markets and an unfortunate feeding frenzy to the 24hr sports/news cycle and instant connection via the web these days..

I live in Maine and make an attempt to attend a game every other year in Chicago. Hotel, club seats and a couple of nights on the town all in an effort to support our team. The $$ adds up, so the average fan wants to see some passion from team leaders.

Cutler IS the future and I don't fault him, he played great at times this year and struggled in a couple of games.

Mike Martz is no Mike McCarthy when it comes to game planning and keeping defenses off balance.

Open up the purse Virginia McCasky to bring in the last couple of pieces, o-line and a play making wr.

Maybe JC comes back next season with some attitude. Hope he does. Hope he's a beast out there. If he had been taken to the locker room for an x-ray during the game (don't think he was), maybe there wouldn't be all this controversy

Whoa, dude, Jeff Fisher is out at Tennesee! When I first heard this I thought Bud Adams, the owner, may have blamed him for the Titan's bad season. You know, his inablity to control Vince Young, and his timing seems (to me) just plain vindictive withall the head coaching jobs already filled. I mean, why now, after Fisher had already dismissed several asst coaches? But, so far, the TV announcers haven't given this any thought or, if they have, they ain't sayin. I'm interested to see what motor mouthed Deion Sanders and Michael Irvin have to say about it.

I read an article about Jeff's "sudden firing" in the local paper this morning. The writer speculated that Jeff's dismissal may be linked to the departure of his coaching staff. Who Knows? The one thing is that Jeff will get paid through next season as he was under contract for another year.

Now that I've heard more about the circumstances and facts around it, it seems very logical. It has nothing to do with Young. JF is/was in his last year there and done. The Titans will probably bring up an asst coach, or not, remains to be seen. We'll see Fisher in the NFL again after the next season.

Second thoughts, you know. Having just read Palomalo is doubtful and just knowin that GB is working on some schemes to get Matthews into Pitt's backfield is givin me hesitation. Plus, somethin tells me GB is gonna out scheme em so I'm flip-floppin. Course I can see it another way if Pittsburg gets a runnin game going I just think GB is capable of more puttin points on the board. So long as Rodgers remains standing, that is. And I don't see Big Ben havin a game like he did against Arizona. But I can see him havin a bad game.

I like the way they've battled throughout these playoffs while it's looked to me that the Steelers have been sliding by thanks to their defense. The Steeler offense looks to stay in the clubhouse at halftime and rely on the defensive squad to protect their early aquired leads. Unless ole' Ben's willing to play 60 minutes of football, I just don't see it happening for them.

But to the Steelers credit, I'd take a Philly Cheesesteak Whizz anyday over head cheese for SuperBowl munchies

Yeah, I keep rememberin that Pittsburg didn't look all that good (to me) against the Jets. If the Jets defense weren't so flat in the first half, they lose that game.
