Any thoughts about which teams will benefit from the frigid temps on Sunday?

I'd like to see a Packers vs Jets Superbowl, but I'm not holding my breathe.  My roommate wants to see NY vs Chicago.

Weather should not affect the outcome of the Bears/Packers game.  Both teams play in cold climate and both QB's have strong arms.  Dirty Sanchez would have a hard time throwing in this weather because he has a little pop-gun arm.

Cutler has a cannon and can throw into a hurricane...unfortunately, often his throws are to the guys from the other team.  The Bears defense pretty much shut down Rogers and company in a must-win game (for the Pack at least) at Lambeau.  I expect an even tougher defensive effort by the Bears' D.

I also hope the Pack chooses to kick the ball to the best return man to ever live, Devin Hester.  That's right, we can debate best QB or linebacker all day but there is no debate about the best return man to ever step on to the field of play.  Hester has no peer.   :thumb:

I'm glad to be watching the game from my warm toasty couch.  It's -26F in Chicago today with windchill and supposed to be cold on Sunday.  Tool cold for this guy!

Here is the weather forecast for both games from The Weather Channel:

http://www.weather.com/outlook/events/nfl/schedule

Once you get there, clicking on the link for each game gives a bit more information, though not as much as you would get from going direct to the city's local forecast.

I like that the Spectator Index is "Zero" for Chicago and "1" for Pittsburgh! Though Pittsburgh is going to be colder than Chicago.

Always interesting to see how individual players, the sub-teams and the coaching of them is/are able to adjust to the weather.

Great that both of these games are being played in open stadiums.

All 4 of these teams are winter teams so that shouldn't even be a factor for any of them. It is sorta strange tho not to have a "fair weather" team being represented in the "final 4". But is is what it is and football is generally a winter sport for NFL,,, except for the SuperBowl which always seems to be held on the south.

Well at least that won't be the case for the Conference Championship games, bring on the winter season Conference Title winners!

Cheers,
Robin

In 2014 the Super Bowl will be in New Meadowlands Stadium home of the Giants and Jets.  That ought to be a cold venue for the Championship.

Third quarter, 4 minutes left.  What the hell were we/I thinkin?  Rodgers has it all over Cutler.  In every department.  Always has.  Ok, maybe Cutler can throw it further.  Chicago's number 2 QB is coming on.  Can't do any worse.  GB has out played Chi.  No contest.  Erlacher the lone exception.

So far Collins is a downgrade if that is even possible.

Too bad Urlacher can't play O like he plays D, might be 14-7

Wow, takes your 3rd string QB to finally get a upgrade. Things just got interesting.

Wow that 4th qtr was interesting and I can't believe a 3rd string qb almost brought them back and tied it.

Yeah Pack --------- :hyper:

Hanie played well, should see more time next year. Forte and Urlacher had a good games. Hester couldn't get off on runbacks but got open on pass plays.
Raji "the Freezer" kept the Packers from melting.
Go Packers!

I thought that intentional grounding call was ridiculous.  As with anything like that, who knows what could have happened.

Nevertheless, congrats to the Packers.  I'll be routing for them, for sure.
