Very entertaining post, Let.  I'm guessing the absence of provoking comments by the Jets this week is meant to put the Steelers off balance.  The players, not the coaches.  I like that the Jets are going in confident.  Expect a great game.  I can't pick an NFC winner with any confidence.  Having said that, Bears at home.

Does anyone really think the Jets' running their mouthes before the Pats game had an impact on the final score?  I don't think what they say or don't say will make a bit of difference.  The Jets and Steelers have been wildly inconsistent and either team (as they have shown) can beat the other.

The Steelers have to make some mistakes on offense for the Jets to win.  If the Steelers team from the first half of the Ravens game shows up, the Jets win...if the Steelers team from the second half shows up, the Steelers stomp the Jets.

I'm alreay on record picking the Steelers.  The Jets, because they haven't been in the Superbowl for a long time would be a more interesting team to watch in the big game (Steelers have won it several times, including recently) and NYC is a big media market  so the hype would be monster.  Still, it's hard for me to pick against the Steelers at home.  Steelers!

The media is certainly better at running their mouths "more", and they practice day in and day out.

IF Rogers and the Packers win the Superbowl he may be elevated to 'great' status.......untill then he's just a very..very good QB. IMO greatness is reserved for those that have achieved that prize and Rogewrs is not there....yet !

So Dan Marino wasn't a great quarterback but Trent Dilfer was?

Hey, I think the Jets are entertaining at times for the things they say off the field.  Let's see how much talking will take place in the Burgh...

I hope Sexy Rexy's wife has warm footwear to keep those sweet looking feet nice and toasty.   :thumb:

No doubt Rex and the Jets running their mouths hyped interest in the game between the Pats/Jets.  The networks benefit from the higher ratings and should show their appreciation to Rex with some footwear for the wife.

Speculation on my part is that the Jets/Rex are quiet because the Steelers are physical and mentally tough.  Pats are a young team and Brady wears a wet suit under his uniform and now has perfectly styled hair.

Jets rattled Brady early with the early pick(along with constant pressure/sacks) and will need similar plays against the Steelers.

Big Ben is probably the toughest qb in the league and won't be easily rattled, bloody nose and all.

Mark, I agree.  Big Ben is a bad dude.  I'd like to see Pretty Boy Brady play with his nose as busted as Ben's was a couple weeks ago.  Also, to come back from a big deficit against that tough Raven team took real mental toughness.  The Steelers aren't flashy but they get the job done.

I'm going to be sad when Football season is over!

Cheers, and Go Bears!

Word is that Brady has been playing with a stress fractured foot since the start of the season. Not verified yet.

I'd like to see him with a broken nose because he's too good looking, and he has a smoking hot wife.  It's not fair!

Jets vs. Pats and Steelers vs. Ravens are division rival games.  Leading up to match-up/rival games between these teams there is always some smack talking.  Face it, they hate each other!

The lack of smack talk between the Jets and Steelers for this championship game does not surprise me at all.  They are not rivals and both teams know they will be facing a very tough opponent whom will be bringing it on the field.  Anybody that likes football, even a little bit, should be in for a real treat with both games on Sunday.  I am already wishing my life away and wish it were Sunday already!

What's not fair? That he doesn't have a broken nose? or That he is good looking? or That he has a smoking hot wife?

The NFL is really, truly going to be milking the Super Bowl.

Money grabbing a--h---s!  They are going to take advantage of people that want to get as close to game as possible but are unable to obtain a ticket for the game.  $200.00 for a ticket to be outside the stadium and watch it on a big screen tv.  Hell, I would find myself a sports bar and have one heck of a good time for that kind of money!

I'm already tired of the constant Black Eyed Peas promo's.

When my team advances, it will be a tough two weeks.  Audios cheese heads!

Win=No turnovers, easy formula.

The Steelers are the dirtiest team in the NFL by a mile, and as long as they're allowed to keep it up I doubt anyone will beat them (the refs are notorious for "letting them play" come playoff time, which seriously puts the finesse teams behind the 8-Ball).  I think Pittsburg will win it all but given how goofy the playoffs have been so far, nothing would surprise me.

A Bears/Steelers Super Bowl would be worth recording just to play back when I can't get to sleep! :icon_twisted:

As a Ravens's fan I don't like those stinkin' Steelers one bit but that's as a Raven's fan. As a sports fan I respect the team immensely for what they've accomplished as an organization and like some of their players and coaches.  Since they have eliminated us again and I'm over it I can root for them to win and represent for the AFC North Division.  I was a fan of many Steelers players growing up.  They have crafted a brand of football that like it or not (I don't always) allows them to play outside the rules a bit defensively.  I think for me the leading with the helmet thing is my biggest gripe.  It almost seems a part of their team culture and to see that 350lb lineman running around out their last game continually diving late into dead ball piles head first at guys really rubbed me the wrong way.

But hey give credit where credit is due. I am looking forward to Ward vs Revis.  Gotta love Ward making it a point to seek out Ed Reed on plays where neither was involved and just trying to light him up.  You just don't see that and maybe only Ward has the balls to do crazy stuff like that.  Why we didn't return the favor I don't know but they are just a little nastier or dirtier than us and that's why they moved on.  Hopefully one of these days we'll knock that smile of Ward's face.  That's all I'm asking of Ray Lewis before he retires soon, knock that damn smile off Ward's face.

Kimmo really upset me last week as I thought he played like a back yard bully.  Ward has always played a hard nosed, mean, style of football and unfortunately for we Steeler Fans his best playing days are behind him.  I doubt we will see him as an every down player after this season.

The Ravens vs. Steelers Match-ups are classics.  I was talking to my son this afternoon and I told him that many years ago the Steelers and Browns (current Ravens) hated each other and that "respect" has just matured over the past 40 years.  I hope the bitterness between the two teams never changes.  It is almost as classic as the Packers versus the Bears!

I know the Ravens Fans have short memories but if I remember correctly it was the Steelers who had the watch the Ravens in the Playoffs last year.  Our team did not make it to the playoffs.
