Am with Jackman, Bigfish and Launche 's picks, in terms of who I would prefer to win (Steelers & Packers).

Next weekend will sort it out.

I would like it to be Steelers vs. Packers, but I think the Jets have one more upset in them.

Jets over Steelers
Packers over Bears

It will be fun to see the reactions of all of the Patriots' fans at work this week.  At the end of last week, none of them thought it would even be a competitive game, let alone a Jets' victory.

George
Most of the TV analysts thought so, too.  Hail to the new Chief- Rex "Big Daddy" Ryan.  You blew my mind.  I think Sanchez gained a lot of confidence.  And that pass coverage was somethin.

One of those times it'd be great to see a NFC Super Bowl.  Sorry Jack;

Packers vs. Jets

Packers win it all and Rogers can move on with life and the legacy of Farve.

Jets/Packers in the big one

Jets win!
I'm with you.

Go Jets. Great game and great coaching by Rex. He talks a lot of crap but that's OK if he backs it up.

No kidding, kept expecting the Pats to come back but they fizzled.

Am feeling Packers love from my kidhood in 60's. Will wait to pick till later tho, gotta let the weekend results settle in.

Interesting quote from Mike Freeman of CBS Sports.com

"The Jets are what happens when fearlessness has a one-night stand with cockiness."

OK, I went 3-1 this weekend with only the Ravens letting me down.

For this weekend's games...

I think the Packers will handle the Bears and make them wish they had kept the Packers out of the playoffs.  It's going to be a close one though like the last game at Lambeau Field.

The Steelers seem to be the most determined, blue collar, hard nosed team left in the Tourney and I wonder if the Jets will have an emotional letdown after beating their hated rivals.  Still, I'm going with my heart (I have no anti Jets feeling even though I'm a Giants fan) and will say the Jets win this game.  It's not for money so what the hell.

So, Packers and Jets in the Super Bowl.

Packers & Jets with the Pack taking the Superbowl. The Jets have already beat two great QBs (Manning, Brady) and next week will be the third (Big Ben) but they won't get past the fourth (Rogers).

All this Packer talk is making me feel better about the Bears' chances!  The Pack barely beat them in Lambeau, in a meaningless game for the Bears.  This one is for the Superbowl!   :thumb:

Go Bears!

Lookin at the post game highlights found Brady lookin down field all over the field without being able to find a receiver a lot of the game.  Amazing defensive strategy by Rex and his DC.  They knew Brady was a immobile pocket passer and that they could he keep 7 guys back and Brady's ring of protection would eventually collapse.  I think Brady couldn't pull the trigger lots of time for fear of an interception.  Got to give it to the Jets front four, too.  I'm a Rex believer all of a sudden.  Strategy, teamwork, damn, what a defensive showing by the Jets.  Yes, Pittsburg poses different problems for them.  Whatever, Rex totally had the Pats number.

Most of you guys know that I am a long time, die hard Steelers fan.  My wife thinks I bleed Black and Gold - He, He!  While, of course, I am picking my favorite team to prevail this weekend I truly know the Jets might come out the winner.  I believe it will be a game with the winner determined by turnovers and/or mistakes.  During the December Game The Steelers allowed a return for Touchdown and also allowed a Safety.  If they make those type of mistakes again we lose - The Jets are just too good!

I think the fans of all four teams playing this weekend are lucky.  Our teams are still playing for the grand prize and the fans of 28 other teams would like to be in our shoes!

IF Rogers and the Packers win the Superbowl he may be elevated to 'great' status.......untill then he's just a very..very good QB. IMO greatness is reserved for those that have achieved that prize and Rogewrs is not there....yet !

Agreed. Rogers has definitely elevated his game, is playing great and seems on his way, but he's not there yet.

You will see the complete opposite this week from Rex and the Jets.  They will be quiet in the media, looking to put Ben and the staff to sleep rather than rattle and fire up the opposition like they did with the Pats.  They will acknowledge the great strategy they had against the Pats and intimate that it will be the same against the Steelers.  They will blitz each and every passing down and most running downs.  Ben is the opposite of Brady, extending plays and throwing to open receivers rather than quick timing plays to spots, so the defensive strategy will be the opposite.

If Tomlin has this figured out, which I think he has, you'll see quick hitting running plays with overload blocking, no counter traps or zone blocking stretch plays, and quick slants, short outs, and screens, followed by max protect 2 receiver deep throws for touchdowns.  Steelers go up 21-0 by the half.
