That was big too. This was an impressive win though by the Jets.

I agree. They split during the regular season and I thought the Pats were a bit overrated despite their record.

Not an upset?  The Jets beating the Pats, on their home turf, is the biggest upset of this year's NFL season.  I wasn't surprised to see New Orleans go down last week, or the Ravens go down in Pittsburgh.  Atlanta should not have surprised anyone watching football this year but the Patriots losing to the Jets today was the biggest upset/shocker in this year's playoffs and, IMO, the upset of the year in pro football.

The Pats were playing very well up until today and the Jets were either losing or just squeeking by.  The Jets were lucky to even be playing this game and they pulled off a victory??? At kickoff, it would be hard to find someone willing to pick the Jets to come within 20 points of the Pats.  I had family comittments and only caught the ending (at a restaurant) but I was shocked.

I was 3 for 4 on my picks this week and the Jets/Pats game was the only one I was "confident" about!  Either way, I have never been happier to have been wrong!  The strongest team is out of the playoffs and I don't have to listen to all of the ESPN homers raving about their East Coast team!  Okay, they will rave about the Jets but not as much, and the Jets will be done playing next week, after the Steelers put them to sleep.  Enjoy it for now Jet fans! :thumb:

A strange season just got even more strange!

Cheers,

J

I hope everyone puts their "cards on the table" again and announces their picks for the next round.  I hate seeing people jump in after the fact with who they "would have" picked.  For the record, my picks are:

Bears over Packers

Steelers over Jets

This might be a miracle season for the Jets, but I don't see them making it past Pittsburgh.  The Bears/Pack game should be interesting because both teams are very familiar with each other and both are playing well.  Bears/Steelers Superbowl?  Packers/Jets?  Bears/Jets?  Packers/Steelers?  So many fun combo's for the big game.   :D

Steelers over Jets

Packers over Bears

Both games should be good ones and could easily go either way.
Of the remaining teams Chicago is the only one that I'm unclear as to how they actually win games.

I would like it to be Steelers vs. Packers, but I think the Jets have one more upset in them.

Jets over Steelers
Packers over Bears

It will be fun to see the reactions of all of the Patriots' fans at work this week.  At the end of last week, none of them thought it would even be a competitive game, let alone a Jets' victory.
