I'll take Pittsburgh myself, the Pats, Chicago, I suppose, but I wouldn't kick a surprise outta bed, and will be rootin for the Packers.  I guess there is method to Rex Ryan's media stategy.  Maybe he's trying to divert the pressure on his QB to himself.  And maybe for what he thinks good reason.

Ok, ok, I can be more committed than that.  I'll take Chicago outright.  What intrigues me the most are the interconference games.  You KNOW Pittsbugh and Baltimore is gonna be competitive.  Va-vava-very competitive.  You couldn't get odds on a blowout I don't think.  And you know New York is gonna bring their best.  They have serious intention.  Well, their head coach does.  And you can imagine their stragegy.  But, there is another good team on the field and I think they prevail.  And I'll take the Falcons.  Think they run the ball better and they got a hellofva record at home, New Orleans not withstanding.

I like the ravens over the steelers but will bet you even up (any amount) that they will not see atlanta in the AFC championship game. (side note... green bay will beat atlanta guaranteeing my win) .  On your next prediction of the ravens beating the patriots for the lombardi trophy.  I really hope the jets will take out the pats so I'll give you teaser odds on the ravens-pats superbowl game.

name your bet... I have a bridge to sell.

Disclaimer.... thunderbrick is my guru and I am just a money guy trying to make a score.

dave

That's a bet I can't make.  The Raven's probably won't make it through the Steelers and if they do I imagine they'd be so banged up as to be ripe pickings for the next team.  The last time when won the Superbowl I had that feeling that we couldn't be beat, right now not so much.
The Patriots have that look of a team that can't be beat.  But then again that's why they play the games.

I'll throw that 8-ball back atsha Chris and go with just the opposite:

Pittsburg

NY Jets

Green Bay

and lastly Cinderella Seattle.

And I don't have 1 cent riding on any of them.   But as always, I only hope for competitive entertaining games.  :thumb:

Cheers,
Robin

Thanks for the vote of confidence Robin.  :thumb:  Don't know they'll do it, but from what I've seen the last few games I think the 10 point spread is again off base. We'll see.   8)

Seemed an obvious R'berger fumble from here on the couch. Weird only one guy went for the ball. Pittsburgh out of challenges could matter.

There are two halves in football.  The Raven's play for 4 qtrs and so do the Steelers.  There 'ain't no quit in them Steelers. I expect to see them fighting until the end.

A tale of 2 halves. The Steelers grabbed the momentum and didn't let go.

Good win Steelers, the Ravens can only blame themselves.  Receivers who were asking for the ball dropped the ball.  Boldin on the TD, TJ on the first down catch.  But please fire Cam Cameron tonight, the guy is not an good enough.

Steelers #68 is a bozo. A reason I dislike them, many of their players are nut jobs.

I am very happy with the win but I thought it was an ugly game. The Steelers turned over the ball twice in the first half and the Ravens made the mistakes in the second half. It was a horribly officiated game which you do not expect in the playoffs. Those two teams really hate each other.

I thing the one thing is that Big Ben is a much better quarterback than Flacco. Joe stared down his receivers all night.

Some day the Ravens wil beat the Steelers but thank goodness not today.
