Ravens over Steelers
Hawks over Packers                           Ravens over Hawks
                                                                                            Ravens over Patriots
Bears over Seahawks                         Patriots over Bears
Patriots over Jets

Homer all the way.

I think you have a couple games mixed up in the Championship round.

Anyone who doesn't live in New England or who did not grow up rooting for the Pats has no business callng them "My Team".  It's too easy to root for the only real dominant team in this year's playoffs.  Come on!

:rotflmao:  Come On! That statement is only rivaled by your own  "I'm not wasting any more time on these losers" rant after a Chicago loss this season.   You have no room to talk about anyone elses team choices regardless of where they live when you can't even stand behind your own Chicago Bears when the going gets tuff.  :nono:  Incredible stuff there Jack,,,,,

It's a bit of a stretch, but I am going with Launche's prediction.   :thumb:

Bitter words from a bitter, Cowboy's fan!

For the record, I'm a Bears' fan and have earned the right to complain.  I still pick them every game and complain whenever they lose.  I'm not sold on this year's Bears' team and have been consistent with my comments and the one you quoted is a great example of the frustration most of Chicago feels with this team.

Most Bears fans will admit Lovie Smith has a horse-shoe up his butt this year because the Bears have benefitted from injuries to key opponents, the complete collapse of the Viqueens, and a favorable call against the Lions that took away a winning TD.  And they get to play Seattle next week, the weakest remaining team.  Either way, I think this thread is way more fun if people state their predictions prior to the games and not jump on the bandwagon of powerhouse teams like the Pats.  "Front-runners" or new fans of heavily favored teams are almost as irritating as Packer fans! :D

As bitter and obnoxious as you are, your team preference and loyalty is never in doubt!

Cheers,

J

Picks for this week's games:

Bears over Seahawks (no way these guys are beating us twice in the same season)
Pack over Falcons (I changed my mind and flip flopped ten times on this one).
Steelers over Ravens (it's just too hard for me to pick against the Steelers at home).
Pats over Jets (blowout)

I had a longer post but lost it because I timed out.  This week is fun because, with the exception of the Jets game, every team has a legitimate shot at winning.  The Jets will need a lucky break (as in one of Brady's legs) because the Pats will be ready.   :thumb:

Pittsburgh in another close, stinky win over Ravens as Flacco gets nervous. Prefer Ravens.
New England, because.
Packers, as receivers hold onto the ball this time. Not because I have a Bart Starr uniform from my kidhood in the 60's in parents basement in Indiana  :icon_lol:.
Bears, as Seahawks are in shock from Saints game, just like everybody else. Not because I actually liked 60's Bears as much as Packers then, but my friend already had a Gale Sayers uniform .

Not that much of a fan, but do feel there is such a thing as local/regional loyalty, and have heard a rumor about the post-game extravaganza. When the Seahawks make it to the Super Bowl, the after game entertainment will be "Stars on Ice, in Hades"  :o  Now that should be a fun watch.   Go Seahawks !

Ravens
Patriots
Bears (though I would take the ten and the Seahawks)
Packers

I think all games will be close, last possession type finishes.

It's a long shot for sure.  Tough to beat those Steelers let alone with them at home, coming off the the Bye and us with 6 days rest and prep instead of seven.  Everything's in their favor but this is my Superbowl for now, forget those other cream puff games.

I like the ravens over the steelers but will bet you even up (any amount) that they will not see atlanta in the AFC championship game. (side note... green bay will beat atlanta guaranteeing my win) .  On your next prediction of the ravens beating the patriots for the lombardi trophy.  I really hope the jets will take out the pats so I'll give you teaser odds on the ravens-pats superbowl game.

name your bet... I have a bridge to sell.

Disclaimer.... thunderbrick is my guru and I am just a money guy trying to make a score.

The Network wants bears - packers at Soldier Field with the frozen patriotic flyover.  The collapse of the Metrodome predicted this.

Long live the NFC north... can we trade detroit for buffalo?

I started rooting for them in the early 1960s, when they were still called the Boston Patriots.  Is that good enough?  Babe Parilli, anyone?

That qualifies Dave.....BTW can anyone name the only two original AFL teams that never moved or changed their name ??

Nah.  I think the Chiefs started out as the Dallas Texans, but I would have thought the Bills, Chargers, and Raiders were originals.  But that's three teams.  I give up.  Which are the two teams?

I pick Atlanta to take the whole thing.

I'm a Saints fan, so I'm not that fond of the Dirty Birds. However, I think they should all be pissed at how totally underrated they've been this season. The media focus has been on the Pats, Favre, and how bad Dallas sucks. In the mean time, Atlanta has had one hell of a great year yet they're hardly an afterthought.

Other than that, I picked Bears, Pats, and Ravens.

Have fun,
Jerry
