Well, I was 0 - 2 for my picks yesterday.  I am still going with the Ravens and Packers today!

No hope of getting to my dish with snow on the roof.
I looked this morning and the bottom half has snow on it.  It's 22 deg now so not much is melting, although with the sun and the dull gray of the dish maybe??
I'm thinking of what I could throw up there- It's gotta be 30+' from the closest place I can see it. Paintballs? A pool squirter-type toy with warm water?

It's weird, most other stations come in but our CBS, NBC, Fox, ABC, PBS don't

Can you configure your receiver to get the standard def channels?  Sometimes those come in when the HD channels won't.

But for all that it came down to the last throw!  Quite a game.  I was actually kinda hoping Vick would complete that last TD strike.  Oh well, not a big deal to me either way.  Overall it was an interesting weekend.  I like the Ravens and will be looking forward to seeing them them take on the Steelers.  And Who Dat going to the 2nd round?  The Seahawks!

My pick for most valuable player in the Green Bay vs Philly game is a tie . . Akers and Vick.  Way to go, Vick.  You're good for something after all.  That interception was a beautiful thing.  Keep it up.

Frankly Rob, I loved the way ole Mikey threw up a "dog bone" interception to lose the game.  :thumb:

But I am glad Philly finally showed up and made it a game that they could have won if not for them 2 missed field goals.

The Eagles had been living on pulling lightning out of their butts the last 3 or 4 games and it finally failed them.  It was just a matter of time really.  I sort of feel the same way about the Falcons.

The Pack are back. They ran the ball well against the Eagles. They're much more dangerous with a balanced attack. The defense played pretty good too.

Man o man!  Are we looking for the next round of playoffs or what?  Gimme dat Pittsburg vs Ravens, yo!  My popcorn is already poppin.  And what could be better than Green Bay at Atlanta.  Well, unless you'd rather have Atlanta at Greenbay which we can't have.  If the Patriots go down to the Jets, I will be crushed (for a short time).  On the other hand, if they don't :D.  Gimme dem Pats, big time, thank you very much!  I'm ahead of myself, I know.

Great weekend of games!  Even though I was wrong on most of my picks, none of the games (except the Seattle game of course!) shocked me.  The Colts have struggled on both sides of the ball and their defense really let them down.  Also, even if you don't agree with the personal choices and actions he has made (killing dogs, etc.), it's hard to blame Vick for that loss.  That last pass was really bad but they would have already been ahead if Akers had made two easy kicks.  Philly was really banged up and I was hoping they would win because it would have been an easier game for the Bears.  Also, I don't think it would be wise for Jet fans to buy those Superbowl tickets just yet.  Just sayin...

Okay, let me get to the REAL reason I posted.  I think people should post their specific thoughts on who they predict will win BEFORE the actual game.  Everyone is an expert after the game takes place.   How about putting your picks in writing before the actual game.  Also, it pains me to see bandwagon jumpers and "frontrunners".  Anyone who doesn't live in New England or who did not grow up rooting for the Pats has no business callng them "My Team".  It's too easy to root for the only real dominant team in this year's playoffs.  Come on!

Ravens over Steelers
Hawks over Packers                           Ravens over Hawks
                                                                                            Ravens over Patriots
Bears over Seahawks                         Patriots over Bears
Patriots over Jets

Homer all the way.

Not a huge football fan but have been following it quite a bit more this year.  Having been raised in Seattle and now live in Jersey City, I am a moderate fan of the seahawks and jets.   I was really very shocked on Saturday.  I couldn't believe they both won.

I started rooting for them in the early 1960s, when they were still called the Boston Patriots.  Is that good enough?  Babe Parilli, anyone?
