No doubt about Brady, he deserves the MVP over Vick. He has played very solid all season long and has helped put the Pats in a great position for a run to the Big Dance.

Whatever happens with the Giants this weekend, I would keep Coughlin. For one, he has one year left on his contract. For another, there is the whole CBA issue and the uncertainty it presents. And three, he is a very good coach. Sometimes good coaches have to go and it could be argued this is one of those times because the team seems unable to practice what Tom preaches. However, the Giants aren't one of those teams that react to the press or public opinion. There is also the injury problem this team has had to deal with most of the year. I would change a few assistant coaches though. Quinn at special teams is one for sure.

It's been a disappointing season for the Giants who at times have shown the capacity to be dominant. Peaking in week 8 however doesn't get it done in the NFL. I still hold out hope the Giants will back into the playoffs but the Packers seem like a rising star while the Giants is falling. Perhaps they are unable to overcome the Eagles game hangover.

I think Giant's Ownership will make a well thought-out decision when it comes to keeping or releasing Coach Coughlin. At one point during the season I was confident the Giants would win the NFC East and possibly go to the Superbowl. I don't know what happened but I do know it took good coaching to have the team play that well. If ownership does let Coughlin go, who do you think they could hire to do a better job? Just look at what the Redskins did this year with their big name coach. He, He!

I'm all for keeping Coughlin but the rumor mill has Bill Cowher waiting in the wings. I'm not sure that would be an improvement, more a lateral, but it might please the fan base. There will be many coaching changes next season throughout the NFL. I think the teams that can maintain stability will have an advantage. Hopefully the Giants will be one of those.

It's funny but 99% of NFL coaches eventually wear out their welcome. In Chicago, Ditka was a GOD for a long time but fans (myself included) couldn't wait to get him out of here. He pretty much ruined his next team, New Orleans, and I was happy to see him gone.

The coaches who followed Ditka all started out hot and were selected AP or UPI coaches of the year in their first year (Jauron, Dave Wanstead (Wanny!), Lovie Smith), but soon fell out of favor with fans. I still would like to see Lovie out of here, even though you can't argue with the team's record, at least on paper.

Lovie seems to have a horse-shoe up his butt this year because the Bears have won several games they shoud have lost and have faced teams at the right time, with key injuries to star players. Plus, the Bears were lucky to have played the Vikings this year. Talk about a team that completely imploded (not counting last week's game).

Overall, this has been a very strange year in the NFL. The Eagles looked like World Beaters, only to lose a big game to a VERY bad Viking's team. The Colts have stumbled but are still good, the Steelers have lost to some bad teams and have looked bad at home. The Giants look to be in free-fall, along with the Chargers, a team all of the experts were in love with a short time ago. Even Atlanta Falcons, the team everyone seems to be gushing about (the experts at least) lost a big game to a New Orleans, a team that has lost some big games this year and has looked very bad at times.

Maybe the Bears aren't lucky. They beat a healthy Jets team at home, beat the Vikings when they were healthy, beat Green bay legitimately, and shut down a red-hot Michael Vick and the Eagles at a time when everyone seemed to have them penciled in (the Eagles) for the Superbowl.

This is a strange year and any team is beat-able, even the mighty Pats were one play away from dropping a HUGE home game to a third string QB-led Packers on their home turf. The Bears are one win away from being undefeated in their division and still most of Chicago, myself included, doesn't know if this team is for real. Either way, the playoffs are going to be interesting this year and I wouldn't bet on any team as a "lock". There are too many reasons to think otherwise.

Well NY's other team, the Jets were able to back into the playoffs after losing a highly entertaining game for the Bears so it's still possible that the g-babies can back in also with a little help from the Chicago Bears beating Green Bay. And of course the g-babies need to crawl past Washington Redskins,,,,,

I'd miss watching Coughlin's meltdowns on the sidelines myself so I hope he's not discarded but with 1 year left on his contract, if management has no desire to re-sign the guy, they might not bother waiting another year just to replace him. This weekend could be very telling,,,, Go Redskins & Packers.

Yes, the preseason predictions (which I agreed with) for the NFC East had the Cowgirls playing at home in the Superbowl, the Giants and Redskins fighting over a Wildcard spot, and the Eagles last place in a rebuilding year. Flip that upside down for the correct answer. I couldn't pick a correct pool for love or money the first 2/3rds of the season. Makes it kinda fun tho, don't you agree?

This has been a crazy season and I'm looking forward to the post season.

If Lovie stays true to form, the Bears will sit starters early today and lose to the Pack. There is no benefit to winning today (in Lovie's mind at least) and keeping the team healthy is more important than an undefeated divisional record and strong finish to the season. I wish the Bears would play everyone and try to win the game, but I don't see it happening.

As a Bears fan, this is a strange season. Even though the team is going into the post season with a great record, you would have a hard time finding people in Chicago who really believe in this team. After they lost to the Pats in blowout fashion, I can't blame anyone. A victory over a red-hot Packers team, in Cheeseland, would be a confidence boost.

Regarding Coughlin, I will miss his meltdowns! We have a coach in Lovie Smith who NEVER shows any emotion. It's refreshing to see a coach get so mad after a painful loss.

IMO, it would be foolish for the Bears to concede the game to the Packers. I think that comes back to bite them later. In a similar line of thought, should the Eagles sit everyone against the Cowboys today and go into the playoffs on a 2 game losing streak? How does that help them? The NFL is about momentum and confidence. It matters how you go into the tournament. Ask Indy.
