Well, ya got the Yanks...

Coughlin's a riot to watch for sure.   Watching him was half the fun,,, but I gotta hand it to Eli Manning, that's the best he's looked all season and he laid down some outstanding stats. But what a turnaround for a defense that totally dominated the 1st half but forgot to come back out and play a complete 2nd half. Looks like ole Andy Reid knew what he was doing when he kept that flag in his pocket on that Philly turnover with 8+ minutes to go. I thought for sure he was throwing in the towel while pocketing the flag.

April baseball season is only a curveball away,, a wide loooong curveball.  :duh:

Cheers,
Robin

Wow, that was a tough one.  I hope the Giants can bounce back from this game.  Seriously, why didn't they run the ball when they had it with 1:30 to go?  They had 3 timeouts left.  Wow.

 "the Jets win!"
Surprised, and my work neighbor will be pissed...
A lot of close games but maybe NFL network will show the replay this week, I'd like to see it.

Tom Coughlin's words of fate after that fateful loss,

"I've never been around anything like this in my life,, nope. It's about as empty as you get to feel in this business right there"

Andy Reid's words of praise after that miracle comeback,

"Ya'know, it's what the NFL is all about man,, what a great game man"

My winners are:

Steelers!:  Jets win!
Chargers: got this one right!
New Orleans: Ravens win!
Jacksonville:  Colts win!
Giants: Eagles win!
Vikings: Bears will win!

Yikes, rough week!  So far, one out of five.  :thumb:

Congrats to the Eagles and Michael Vick for gutting out a great comeback road win.  Vick was amazing in the fourth quarter.

Also, congrats to Dirty Sanchez for showing up all the doubters (myself included).  He played a great game and showed great poise for a young player.

The Eagles

At least they have the Pats in a guaranteed victory against the injured Pack. Oh, and they can now focus on the Jets who finally showed up to a game.   Also, congrats to Payton Manning for showing why he is the best guy named Manning QB'ing in the NFL!  Great game!

I am physically ill.

Dodge will be gone by Monday morning.

George

That was perhaps the most painful loss of the year for any team.  The G-men pooped the bed bigtime.  Way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!  Mike Vick was awesome on that last drive and the punt return was equally amazing.  Why would they kick the ball (line drive at that) to Jackson?  I could not believe my eyes and literally turned to my friends watching the game and said, "no way they are kicking this one to Jackson".  It was like throwing a juiced-up Bonds a fastball right down the middle and daring him to hit it...

Man, I had a really bad weekend for picking winners.  My Steelers and the Giants just plainly blew it!

Ken I was just kidding around.  Tough week so far but some entertaining games.

Heck, Sexy Rexy almost pulled off the best comeback win of the day. He had a rough start but wound up with a monster game. 322 yards and 4 TD's!  Two picks but a great game overall. He should have been starting all year!!!

I was surprised the Iggles had to mount a comeback- I thought they'd win that one going away.  Gotta say I'm mildly surprised by the Jets- they've been exposed by every other good team they've played.  Seems to me the Steelers fans might want to take a vacation somewhere warm for the month of January.

Just wait Rob til next week when the NFL hands down the latest Pittsburg Steeler fines for defensive leading with the helmet shots to the receivers,,, again. The Steelers must be the most fined team in the NFL this season. Seems like a weekly thingie with a defense that don't seem to mind paying the fines.  :?

Wow!  What a comeback!  I understand your illness George, I felt that way the whole game, well, until 7:28 left to play.  My Eagles were like a fighter beat up the whole fight them comes on with a flurry in the 12th to knock out the opponent.  The Gmen's D line beat up on the Eagle O line the entire game, then decided to lay down.  Why?  I actually picked the Giants on my pool this week, sure they'd split the series at home.  We had the old "Miracle at the Meadowlands", now that there is a New Meadowlands, only fitting that we christen it with a "New Miracle at the Meadowlands".
