I think the best thing Mikey could do for repairing his image is keep a low profile and distance himself from what got him in trouble in the 1st place,,,

I think you might be a little over the top with some of your comments about Vic, but I agree with the above one wholeheartedly.  And if you actually read the interview he said he'd love to have a dog, but can't because of his actions.  He said, "I think just to have a pet in my household and to show people that I genuinely care, and my love and my passion for animals; I think it would be outstanding. If I ever have the opportunity again I will never take it for granted. I miss having a dog right now. I wish I could. My daughters miss having one, and that’s the hardest thing: telling them that we can’t have one because of my actions."

I've never been convinced of his rehabilitation, certain that it's all a PR scam to rebuild his image based on the millions it will bring.  But for the first time I saw a different person on the Thursday Night Football after game interview.  Introspective, humbled, a matured person understanding the responsibilities of being a real man, not a boy playing football.  I'll reserve judgment for some time, his crimes dictate a long period before forgiveness, but I think there may be a chance we might see a person redeemed someday.  A nice thought at Christmas.

Oh hey, when it comes to comments about Vic, you were very mild.  I tried to note it was a little bit biting, but you are not out of the mainstream with opinions about the guy and on point with your comment I quoted.  But I think I'm seeing a change and so are others.  On a sports show this AM it was noted that Tony Dungy mentoring him has made a world of difference and was his best move after release.  We'll see.

Well what I see is nothing that should come as any surprise for someone in his position of being in the public eye and making the type of money he makes, it's called damage control & public relations. But if he were smart, he would follow Kobe's path and keep his mouth shut while continuing to do what got him the popularity in the 1st place,,, play football. It's a simple fact for me that with him wanting to keep it all on the front page with all these intervues that I'm not buying it. And now just fresh outta jail he goes public with his desire to get another dog??? Well it's all the more reason why I hope he's got a painted bullseye on this week (and my Aussie, Bandit agrees  ),,,, even tho I "think" I'd actually rather see the Eagles win than them g-punks.  :eyebrows:

Calling this year's Viking team winners is a mistake on so many levels. Mark it down in ink they will lose big to the bears this Monday night. What were you thinking?

Hell, I agree with most of what you have written about Mikey but it is what it is! :thumb:

Now for some football:

Especially the JETS!!!!  :eyebrows:

Win or lose I am confident The Steelers will make the playoffs and as previously stated they are a good but not a great football team.  However, The Jets have to stabilize a sinking ship and this game against The Steelers could be a do or die game.  It does not set-up well for the Steelers but I honestly believe the Steelers have the better coach, better defense and better quarterback.  We will win this game!  Ha, Ha!

Well you're probably right Ken and that's why I'm going with the sinking underdog Jets. It's sink or swim time NOW & Garcia is waaaay overdue for a good offensive game.  :dunno:

And picking Chicago,,, I was just kidding.

Jets are in disarray and will lose and Jaguars will not beat Indy in the dome. Lastly the Vikings may not win again this season. Truth

I'll take St. Louis over KC and the Lions over TB.

I'm staying away from those other pics.  All I care about is for the G-Men to beat the Eagles.  My whole weekend depends on it.

Hmmm, looks like the Eagles didn't need to give up the ball on Jackson's "fumble". Zup with that  Andy?!

Not sure why he didn't challenge the call, but I am glad that he didn't.

Better than the Jag's onside. Josh Scobee kicked the worst onside Kick I have seen. He may be good for a 59 yarder but the 10 yard onside,,,not today.
