Yep, Cleveland caughed up the ball, choked and forgot how to tackle. I'm sorry it wasn't televised in Chicago. Looked like an entertaining game.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Jets and root for them whenever they play a team that is not the Bears. They are exciting and I'm a fan of Ryan. He's a funny guy and a real character.

I would like to personally apologize to all of the Redskin fans out there. We had no idea there was a charity event tonight and the Redskin players had been replaced by the St Ignacius JV Girls Intermural squad. We would have sent our Holy Ghost Prep team if we had only been informed ahead of time. The email must have been misplaced. Perhaps we can put Kolb on the field to sort of make up for the oversight.

Wow, Wisconsin beat IU 83-20 (football!) which I thought was just crazy. Now the Iggles are on the same pace ... Vick sure is off the scale, at least for tonight.

I predicted a route but that was much more than a route. It was a complete and utter destruction. Philly could have easily racked up 70 or 80 points if they kept the foot on the pedal.

Washington must smoking crack for signing Mcnabb to a long-term deal. He is lazy, out of shape and washed up. He looked really bad in the game against the Bears (even though the Skins won), and seems to have gotten old fast. Why would Philly trade a guy to a divisional rival if he could still play? Both of the Philly QB's are much better than Mcnabb but Vick is completely off the charts. He is playing the best football of his career, and has quickly become the most dominant player in the league. Hats off to Andy Reed for giving this guy a second chance and to Vick for finally living up to his potential. How the heck did Vick make those cuts and throws in a rain-storm?

I have never seen a player throw the ball so effortlessly or run the ball like Vick ran last night. He was freakishly fast, elusive, and always seemed to be a couple steps ahead of the defense. I can't stand the MNF announcers but they were right about one thing. Vick looked like a man among boys. If he stays healthy and out of trouble (it looks like he has learned his lesson), the Eagles are going to be hard to beat. Wow!

Iggle - Giant games are always intense, regardless of the standings. Next Sunday will be even more so with sole possesion of first place on the line. The Giants will be looking to make amends for the thumping they took from Dallas

. It should be a lot of fun.

The Manning boys had rough Sundays. Peyton threw a interception when the Colts were in field goal position to tie the game and Eli fumbled the ball (he was untouched) after running for a first down late in the game.

No doubt it was a tough night for the Mannings. Of the two, Eli's game was probably more gutting. He threw that pick, right before he fumbled that ball. Peyton at least got his team back in the game when they should have been out of it. No excuses for the interception however. That was a poorly thrown ball. Still, of everyone in the league, I have to think ol' Brett is feeling worse. His team was humiliated by their arch rivals and his former team, the Pack, on home turf! Plus, he played very poorly. It's Tavaris jackson time in MN.

Very entertaining day of football yesterday. I was happy for Vick and the Eagles. The Giants are no joke. They played very good defense and I was impressed with Vick's ability to run the offense against a good Giant front and secondary. I look forward to next week's game against the Bears. I will be rooting for the Bears but expect Vick and company to give them all they can handle. Look for the Bear defense to try to put the hurt on Vick and hit him hard to try to slow him down or hurt him. The Bear defense is playing very well this year. They are giving up lots of first downs, lots of yards but very few points.

Weather could play a key role next week in Chicago. They are predicting snow or sleet. The Bears will need all of the help they can get!

The Giants game came down to two things:

1. Turnovers - Hard to win when you turn it over 4 times in a game (especially to a quality opponent like the Eagles)

2. Big plays - can't give them up like they did last night

Should be interesting to see what happens when they meet again in December at the Meadowlands.

I agree with you but you are missing one additional key to last night's Eagle/Giants' game: dropped balls (by the Eagles). If the Eagle receivers would have held on to a couple of those balls, the game may have been out of hand in the first half. The Eagles settled for fieldgoals instead of touchdowns. I thought the Giant defense did a great job containing Vick (he had no room to run) but they were lucky the Eagle WR's could not hold on to some extremely catcheable balls.

The next game should be as entertaining as last night's and I would not be surprised if the Giants prevailed. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if either team won the game.

Regardless of how anyone might feel about Michael Vick personally, at 53 years old as I am and an avid football fan for most of those years I don't recall ever seeing a quarterback look so effortless when throwing the ball. His throwing motion is so damn smooth and fast, and his accuracy is spot on. When I was a kid and got a chance to see my first Pro Golf Tournament at Whitemarsh CC outside of Phila. I was amazed at how effortlessly everyone swung at the ball and how much distance those swings generated, Vick has that natural, smooth delivery and easily ranks in my top five QB's currently playing, he's got the whole package and WE got him..its fun to be an Eagles fan again!!

Firstly, you are way too nice for an Eagles' fan. Are you sure you are from Philly.

Secondly, it's hard for me NOT to root for Vick. He paid his price to society and, from the looks of it, has turned his life around. They say he is a very hard worker (this time around) and is becoming a complete quarterback, not just a guy with amazing natural ability.

They say he was not a hard worker in Atlanta and maybe he needed a wake-up call to become the type of guy we see today. Whatever the case, I would reserve some thanks for Andy Reid and the Eagles organization for taking a chance on this guy. I recall all of the "experts" saying he would never start again in the NFL and that his only shot at getting on the field would be in a "wildcat" or gimmick formation, not as a starter. It's great to see Vick prove these guys wrong by turning in the best QB play of his life.

I can't believe how effortless Vick's throwing motion is. He has one of the strongest arms I have ever seen and his accuracy has improved. Although he has no interceptions, I wouldn't call him accurate (compared to the elite QB's in the league). He is getting there and will undoubtedly continue to improve. That is a scary thought! At this point, the only thing that can stop him is an off the field issue, which is unlikely, or an injury. He is not a big guy and I suspect teams will try to nail him hard, especially when he is out of the pocket. With his speed, that's not going to be easy.

Hey George, I'm not counting the Giants out. They really plated great defense yesterday. Sometimes players drop balls because they are afraid of getting hit. Vick had his hands full and both teams played well enough to win. This season is very strange.

The reason I didn't post the results of my confidence pool picks this week is...you don't want to know! I more than made up for my good picks last week. It looks like my period of "genius" was short lived...

Thanks! I am not surprised but wonder if Singletary is next in line to get the axe. Chilly didn't do himself any favors but this was the same team that was a couple plays away from making the superbowl last year.

For me, I'll miss Chilly's public fights with Favre and wonder if Brett will make it the rest of the season. The Vqueens have no chance of making the playoffs and there is really no reason for Brett to stick it out. If he has an ounce of pride, he will hang it up soon. That's why I believe he will continue to play the rest of the season. Deep down, IMO, Favre is a selfish p-word (rymes with rick).
