Sad day for sure... Maybe next year, and we can have a home field Super Bowl.

If the Colts do not make the Playoffs it will seem so unusual.  Right now it appears the wild card teams in the AFC will come from the East and the North!

The talking heads on the Sunday Night Pregame Show are stating Manning threw 4 INTs and 11 in his last 3 games.  What the hey?

Looks like some of the players at Tennessee have quit playing and that doesn't bode well for Jeff Fisher.  Looks to me like he may be coaching for another team next season.

Hats off to Pittsburg.  Thought the Ravens would beat em.  Didn't see the game, tho.  Surely the Ravens brought their A+ game?  And got beat.

Jets and New England.  This should tell us a great deal.

I have to write the truth which is I am greatly surprised at the outcome last night and am one very happy Steeler Fan!  The final score was great but we lost our punter for the season and most likely our tight end for the next game.  Ben will have his nose fixed today.  What a game! Go Steelers!

That Steeler game was brutal. Very hard hitting fame for both sides. There should have been a flag when that guy broke Ben's nose. That was ugly but he gutted it out. Great win for the steelers.

Hey Bigfish,

Congratulations on a good win.
Real brutal game but entertaining also!
Sorry about Bens's nose but I feel it was not intentional.

Thank you Jtsnead!  I believe this game clearly illustrated that teams do not have to score a bunch of points to be a great and interesting game!  The Steelers hung in there all game and won in the end but I honestly feel very lucky.

I have a strong feeling that these two teams could meet again.

Okay, I just wanted to make a prediction before tonight's kickoff.  The Pats will win this game by more than the 4 points Vegas is giving.  I'm predicting a 10 point victory for the Pats, possibly more.

The Jets' luck runs out tonight!  Please note the time, the game has not begun as I type this! :thumb:

Am I the only one brave (or dumb) enough to give preditions before the game?  I don't want to hear anyone talking about who they thought would win AFTER the game.  Let's get it out there before kickoff.  Vegas has the Pats at -4 points and I think they are going to win and cover the spread.  In fact, the Pats will win by more than 10 points tonight!

Also, I'm sorry but if one of the Steelers (let's say Harrison) similarly hit and broke Tom Brady's nose like Big Ben's nose was broken last night, he would have received more than a 15 yard penalty.  He would have been ejected and possibly suspended.  The fact there wasn't a flag on the play is a total joke.  Also, saying the refs didn't see it is total BS.  It was right in the open and Ben's nose was a mess.

My Pittsburgh friends (Steeler fans of course) hate Ben and were texting me earlier in the game about how bad he was playing and how he was killing the team.  Off the field activities aside, Ben Rothlisberger is a tough dude and his style of play suites the Steelers to a tee.  They don't have the last ring without Ben and he deserves mention in the upper echelon of current QB's.

Yeah, I think the Pats are gonna get some payback for the first loss when they meet the Jets again tonight.

RIP Dandy Don.   MNF has never been as good as it was with Gifford, Cosell, and Meredith.

Cosell???? You gotta be kidding me. It was only Gifford & Meredith's commentary interaction that made Howard even slightly tolerable to listen to IMHO:roll:

The Jet's have played competive football all season and I don't remember them being blown out. But it'll be a quite the feat for them to stay competitive against the red hot Patriots tonite. If Brady plays his usual game, I don't see the Jet defense doing much to stop him. Sanchez will need to get onboard and keep his offense in the game just to make it a game. I'm onboard with the  Jet's tonite.  :green:

Cheers,
Robin

Even though I hated Cosell, he was fun to hate.  That old MNF crew was special and it always seemed like a real "Event" before DVR's and all of the games on cable, and the ESPN highlights.  MNF halftime was the only real highlight I would watch, outside of local news.

WRT tonight's game, I don't like either team but the Pats are going to blow the Jets out.  Or win by more than 4 points!

It certainly looks good for the Pats so far.  Brady has the Jets defense on their heels! Hehe!
