I agree with you there. I will have a family room with black out material on the windows. I'll be using a 92 inch screen (room still under construction). The 92 inches was the biggest I could get because of where the projector has to be.
Perhaps our wives are different? My wife will have no problem pulling two cords and closing the shades to watch TV.
I have another TV upstairs (32 inch) for normal viewing. Those are the only two TVs that will be in the house, ever.
