I was wondering mainly if there is something intrinsic to the hardware or software of the Transporter that makes FLAC sound better than Apple Lossless.
I already did some google searches and didn't find much info.
I am mainly looking for a succinct summary of why, if it is true, FLAC sounds better than ALAC, specifically for the Transporter from a hardware / software point of view, and what differences people are consistently hearing.
(my whole cd collection is ripped into ALAC using iTunes and I like the convenience and interface of iTunes). Sounds like I could batch convert everything to a separate FLAC library, but really want to find out if it is worth it)
