I'm trying to get a pair of subs In "sandbox" cabinate.  I heard them at
danny's and they sounded tight and deep.  I'm just wondering I anyone has had the chance to compare them with main stream subs from Velodyne, Rel, or JL Audio.

His older 12a + PR12 made my Velodyne VX-10 sound muffled in comparison regardless what I was playing. I built everything exactly per Dannys plans. Using your words "tight and deep" did not describe the Velodyne in any way. Cost wise they are comparable subs.

If thats the type of comparison you are looking for. There you go. :)

I have three of the sealed servo subs. They replaced two REL Storm III subs. While the REL were very good, the GR/Rhythmik subs are considerably better. Yes three of one is not a direct comparison to two but even had the numbers been the same they servo subs are just better. Tighter sounding, no port noise and they play deeper.

I have a friend who has a JL Fathom, he's having cabinets built for the GR servo subs... They will exist in separate systems but he's heard mine enough that he's spending the money to get them.

Thanks for your input guys.  I've heard the RELs, Velodynes, and JLs in the past but in show conditions and dealers.  So it's hard for me to assess how the Danny's subs stack up, but I got the feeling his subs would compete with any of those subs under $3k.

Mike, it would be interesting to hear from your friend who has the JL Fathom after he gets the completed Danny's subs in his home.

I'll solicit his opinion once that has occurred. Not sure how long it will be before he has all the pieces and parts but I will mention it. :)

Thanks Mike, I look forword to that.

Hi Mike, that would be a very interesting comparison, the Fathom and Danny's servos. I looked hard at the JL's, but could not justified spending that much money.
I am very happy with my Rythmik 15 inch servo. Bang for the buck factor is off the chart, compared to the Fathoms that I heard.

Thanks
Neil

If Mike is talking about who I think he is, then no. I'm currently in the process of finishing up those Servo builds.
