I think the score perfectly updates the original Wendy Carlos concept. Blending electronics and actual instruments. Not to mention the capabilities of the medium are as advanced past 1981 as computer CGI is. Brad Bird and other notable directors are consulting the filmmakers to hone some scenes. I hope this movie is the blockbuster and instant classic the original failed to be when it was released. My take on the score? It ranges from great gentle cinematic background to adrenaline-pumping.
BTW: there is a NEW trailer for tron legacy released this week, and it features some of the amped-up elements of the score.
