This rare gem was Lew Johnson's pet project. The MC-10 preamp was CJ's all out assault on the state of the art for a FET linestage preamp to compete with Mark Levinson and Krell. This preamp is still used as a reference by at least one people closely associated with CJ over the years.The Motif gear is owned by a number of reviewers to this day. The MC-10 linestage was built to a far higher standard than the later Conrad Johnson FET preamps (do a search on this preamp for details.) The 7/10 rating is conservative. Paypal is 3% extra.
